To Italy

Hi everyone! It has been so long since I have last written and so much has happened. At the moment Lucas and I traveled by train to Rome to mee up with my mom and her friend Paula. They met us here to celebrate my birthday. We are staying at a beautiful hotel and seeing all of the essential Roman sights. Lucas and I are in the process of setting up our next farm. We are planning on staying in Italy for about a month.
When I last wrote we were on our way to Camino Verde riding holidays in Trevele… Continue

Cunca

Hey everybody! Im sorry it has been so long. we have been at a garden for the past few weeks without internet. it is like time travel. We arrived at Monte da Cunca in Carrepateira Portugal after 2 solid days of travelling only to hear Klaus the Austrian in charge tell us there was no room. We just stood there with dumbfounded expressions. where on earth would we go. so we stared long enough that he said we could stay in a tent. the smallest crappiest tent ever. so we did. He owns quite a bit of… Continue

Week 1

We made it! Lucas and I arrived in Malaga, Spain on the 14th and then to our farm in El Colorado on the 15th. We are staying with an English woman who has a beautiful house near the coast. She and a former WWOOFer have a CSA (community supported agriculture) wherein they deliver vegetable boxes to customers.
Lucas and I have our own little casita behind the main house (right next to the pool). We wake in the morning to take the dogs on an hour long hike where we watch the sun rise. Then we have… Continue

Getting lost

In less than a week, Lucas and I are leaving. 1:43 on Tuesday Jan 13th to be exact.

I'm trying to figure out how we will get to our first farm. I think we are going to fly to Malaga, Spain, stay the night then take a bus to the city nearest the farm.

We need a hostel to stay in Malaga and then we'll need to figure out how to get from our hostel to the bus station the next day. Here are the… Continue

I found out yesterday (Dec 1) that we've got our second host lined up. It is a beautiful spot in southwest Portugal. We'll be staying here from the time that we leave our first farm in Spain (Feb 6) until March.

Camino Verde

At the beginning of March, Lucas and I will go back to Spain.

This time we'll be in El Colorado, near the coast, about 1.5 hr drive south of Granada. This stop may end up being fairly long term. Camino Verde, our host, leads holiday horse rides through the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Check out their website. http://www.caminoverde.co.uk/ Basically, folks… Continue

Casa Luz

On January 13th Lucas and I will be flying into London where we will spend a couple of days then we will fly down to Gibraltar on the very southern tip of Spain on EasyJet (a cheap European airline) then making our way over to El Colorado. We will be at Casa Luz a citrus farm with access to great beaches, surf lessons, mountain bikes, and farm work.
